Even though it’s Feel Good Friday at Helping Hands at First English, the news isn’t too good today. Funding is being cut left and right at both federal and state levels for food pantries. Helping Hands is already anticipating an increased need for food for school aged kids this summer, as summer food programs are being threatened and shut down. We are already in the process of shoring up the reserves to give families with kids extra food this summer. We’ve already ordered canned raviolis, applesauce and fruit packets, granola bars, shelf stable milk, and more!
At Helping Hands, we can’t tolerate childhood hunger.
Please help us. Thank you.
