Happy Halloween and Feel Good Friday at Helping Hands at First English. 🎃
There has definitely been a pall cast on this day of celebration, as we face down the barrel of hunger as SNAP is discontinued.
Through our work at Helping Hands, we know so many of our neighbors who will be impacted by these cruel cuts. Single parents with children, veterans, senior citizens with disabilities, people suffering with mental or physical health conditions—all of these people will suffer. I hope and pray there will be some remedy, but I fear the worst.
